Electric Island Festival
Electric Island came to us looking to rebrand for their 2019 festival, looking for an energetic brand with a retro feel to it. My concept was reminiscent of graphics from the 80s, with an “outrun” aesthetic that alluded to the music and name of the festival without being obvious (i.e. a lightning bolt). The logo mark also gave the impression of reflections on the surface of water, which called out to the Toronto Island location of the festival. Leaning into the 80s style, I also created a “glitchy” animation that could be used in social media campaigns for the festival.
